Elite Resorts of Asia Pacific launches the Elite Library

We are proud to launch our new Elite Library. A depository for all information related to the Elite World.

Encompassing video, Press releases, magazine or newspaper articles, the Elite Library functions as a visual and informative representation of the resorts and destinations that create the Elite World.

This is a work in progress and always will be and we do encourage our readers out there to send us any information you feel is relevant to a Elite resort or an Elite destination or anything else you may think is interesting and will of course give credit where it is due.

Here is an example of one of the new destination articles you can find in the Elite Library:

5 Of The Best Sights In Singapore:The tiny country of Singapore is in South East Asia but many could spend hours trying to locate it on a map. This is because it is signified only as a little dot even though the country has become increasingly prominent on the world stage. Many now regard Singapore as a very modern, clean and efficient country with strong governance.

Please enjoy our vision of an Elite Library

Featured Elite InsiderKarma Kandara, Bali

E September

Karma Kandara, Bali General Manager, James Sullivan-Tailyour

Born in Singapore and educated in the United Kingdom, James brings more than 20 years’ experience in five-star resorts and hotels to his role as General Manager of Karma Kandara in Bali. His career has included management roles with major hotel companies in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, such as InterContinental, Hilton, Six Senses, and The Vijitt Resort in Thailand, and most recently as Managing Director of Ayanna Hotel Management Consultants in Asia, supporting the opening of a one of a kind residential meditation centre in Phuket.

Favourite villa:It’s difficult to choose because each one is unique and magical, but our two Grand Cliff-Front Residences, perched 85 metres above the Indian Ocean, are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Offering one of the most breathtaking views on the island, these five- and six-bedroom villas are superbly appointed with large infinity-edge pools. Each villa is different – one is very much a lifestyle villa with a contemporary feel, while the other offers the ultimate in luxury. Each has a private screening room, one has a wine cellar, and the other its own spa. As with all the villas at Karma Kandara, they’re equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, home theatre systems and wi-fi internet, although the sound of the rolling surf may be the only music you need.

Best villa for sunrise or sunset:Any of our three Cliff Front Villas – they all face west – with the most incredible panoramas that will take your breath away, especially at sunset when the sky lights up with fiery colours. The entire resort is designed to make the most of the views, so whether you’re down on the beach, lounging by the main pool, in our Veritas wine lounge or signature di Mare restaurant, you’ll have equally stunning views of the sun dipping into the sea.

Best beach:Kandara’s beach is consistently rated as the best in Bali, and for the third year running we’ve been voted among the world’s top beaches. Geger Beach, at the southern end of Nusa Dua, is also very beautiful. It’s a little cove protected by a reef creating a lagoon-like beach, and is bustling with hard-working seaweed farmers. Very photogenic! While the reef has some of Bali’s most powerful waves, the beach is totally safe making it a great place for families to relax.

Most romantic spot in the resort:While Kandara didn’t invent the word “romantic”, we do have a few special places. One of the private pavilions at our Nammos Beach Club with cocktails, fresh oysters from the oyster bar, and a seafood lunch prepared by our chef is fabulous. At sunset, the North African-inspired Temple Lounge is a super place to relax with stunning views over the ocean. Alternatively, let our Executive Chef Simon Blaby and his culinary team prepare a magical private barbecue in your villa or down on the beach.
